How to back up and restore your website
Keep your own backup before big changes such as updates or redesigns.
Create a backup
- In cPanel open Backup (or Backup Wizard).
- Under Download a Full Account Backup click Generate Backup, or download the Home Directory and each MySQL Database separately.
- Save the files on your computer.
Restore
- Open Backup Wizard → Restore and upload the home directory and database backups.
- For a full account restore from a full backup, open a ticket and we will help.
Our servers may keep backups for our own operations, but they are not a guarantee of availability - you are responsible for your own backups (see the Terms of Service).
